Hong Kong, abbreviated as "Hong Kong" (HK), is the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. It is located in the south of China, east of the Pearl River Estuary, west of Macau, China, adjacent to Shenzhen in the north, and Zhuhai in the south. The Wanshan Islands in the city include Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, the New Territories and the surrounding 262 islands. The total land area is 1,06.66 square kilometers and the sea area is 1,648.69 square kilometers.
