The Republic of Chile, referred to as Chile. Located in southwestern South America, the western foothills of the Andes. It is adjacent to Argentina to the east, Peru and Bolivia to the north, the Pacific Ocean to the west, and Antarctica to the south across the sea. It is the narrowest country in the world with a land area of 756,715 square kilometers.

Chile has very rich mineral resources, forest resources and fishery resources. It is the country with the richest copper resources in the world and the country with the most copper production and export in the world. It enjoys the reputation of "the kingdom of copper mines". The Atacama Desert in the territory is the dry pole of the world. In addition, it is the only country in the world that produces saltpeter. Chile has also won high rankings in terms of freedom of the press, human development index, and democratic development. Education in Chile is highly developed, and its education is generally recognized in developed countries. Being located at the southernmost tip of the American continent and facing Antarctica across the sea, Chileans often call their country "the country of the end of the world."

Chile is a member of the Association of South American Nations, and is listed as an ABC power in South America alongside Argentina and Brazil. It has high international competitiveness and quality of life, a stable political environment, a globalized and free economic environment, and a low perception of corruption and a relatively low poverty rate. It is regarded as a high-income economy by the World Bank Group. In 2010, Chile became the first OECD member country in South America.
