Canada (English/French: Canada) is a North American land and sea country located in the northern part of North America. It borders the Atlantic Ocean in the east, the Pacific Ocean in the west, Alaska in the northwest, the continental United States in the south, and the Arctic Ocean in the north. Canada has an area of 9.98 million square kilometers, ranking second in the world, of which fresh water covers an area of 890,000 square kilometers. The climate is mostly subpolar continental climate and temperate continental humid climate, and the northern polar region has a polar long cold climate. As of November 2019, Canada has 10 provinces and 3 regions, and the capital is Ottawa. As of the end of 2018, the population of Canada was 37,057.65 million people.


Canada is a highly developed capitalist country. It is one of the world's largest industrial countries and one of the seven largest industrial countries in the West. Its manufacturing and high-tech industries are relatively developed. Resource industry, primary manufacturing and agriculture are the main pillars of the national economy. Canada's crude oil reserves rank second in the world, with a forest coverage rate of 44% and total freshwater resources accounting for 7% of the world. It is a wheat exporter and the largest fishery exporter. Canada has the longest national highway in the world. The main tourist cities are Vancouver, Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal and Quebec.
